A notarial power of attorney is an official document that gives us permission to do something on your behalf, such as signing a document or submitting an application to a government agency. You are essentially giving us your voice or your hand, so that we can act on your behalf.
The special thing about a notarial power of attorney is that it is recorded or approved by a notary. A notary is a specially trained lawyer who checks whether you really understand what you are signing, whether you agree voluntarily, and whether everything is in accordance with the law.
