The residencia, also known as the Green Card, is the official certificate that registers you as a resident of Spain as an EU/EEA citizen. You will need this as soon as you stay in Spain for more than three months.
Anyone who lives in Spain for more than three months as a retiree, employee, self-employed person, or student is required to register for a residencia.
