What is a NIE number?

A NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero) is your official identification number as a foreign national in Spain. You will need this, for example, to buy or rent a property, open a Spanish bank account, buy a car or carry out other official matters.

Can I apply for a NIE without travelling to Spain?

Yes. With our service, you don’t need to visit a Spanish authority in person to sort out your application. You submit your details and documents online and provide us with the necessary power of attorney. We will then handle the application on your behalf.

What do I need to apply for my NIE?

How long will it take to receive my NIE?

How much does a NIE application cost in total?

You pay for the package you choose. In addition, you pay the official notary fees of €125 for the legalisation of the power of attorney.

Do I need to go to a notary or a Spanish authority myself?

No, you do not need to visit a Spanish authority in person to sort out the application. The power of attorney is handled via an online process that allows you to sign and legalise the necessary authorisation.
